End of the Albanian tradition

Since it's debut at the Eurovision Songcontest, Albania was the first to choose a represantative for the ESC every year until now. This had become a little tradition for the Eurovision Family in the last 7 years.

This season, for several reasons it seems that an other country will have its ESC represantative first:
1) Cyprus and Belgium already start in September with a search for an ESC talent
2) The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has decided that the ESC songs of 2011 can already be published from 01.09.10 on for the very first time, up to this ESC season the release-date had been the 1st October, which allow Cyprus (1) already to publish possible ESC entries that early.
3) Today Switzerland reported that they're new national final system will take place in early December, before the Albanian "Festivali i kenges", which is yet to be dated (mid-December).
4) Albania most likely wont change the old tradition of its festival taking place in December though, just to keep the short ESC tradition...

It is therefore most likely to have the frist ESC contestant + song from some other ESC country for the first time in 8 years and cutting a little record on the early ESC scene.

Nevertheless it has yet to be announced of the Albanian delegation, that we see Albania in ESC 2011 and whether the FiK stays their National Final (last year after Juliana's victory that was discussed in a talk show by the producers) . Albavision stays tuned on information of RTSH-sides...

More facts, backgrounds, features & exclusiveness!

On our mission to become the #1 Newsprovider in terms of the Albanian Eurovision scene, we have been thinking about many things we could do on this page, to reach our goal:

Therefore we keep adressing former Festivali i kenges arists and the Abanian ESC broadcaster RTSH for interviews and exclusive news.
We are still awaiting some responses, some artists have responded already. So be prepared for exclusive news and backgrounds that no other page have & be the first to read it.

We have also added the posibilities to follow us through Twitter and Facebook, so that everytime there is some news about Albania@ESC you will be informed straight away, if you follow us through one of these networks.

Also, every article can now be shared on your facebook, twitter, blogger and googleaim page or be sent to friends via Email with only one click on one of the symbols under the articles next to the comment feature.
In near future Albavision.tk will open it's own Youtube channel to upload own videos.

In future, this blog will serve you with more history and news about former Festivali i kenges(FK) Stars. This means we'll have articles about former FK songs with lyrics + translation. (You can always request songs!)
We'll have a look at other music project of the FK stars and Alb. ESC Stars, too.

Other categories, as our Albavision-Charts or the soon presented "Albavision Summerhit 2010 competition" and more surprises await you here!

We are still searching for an own Logo and own an Slogan for the page. Ideas can be sent to Albavision@live.de or write us in the comments.

This is only the beginning, your Albavision-Team!

Where have we been?

Since the final of the Eurovision Songcontest, there has been no article on this page and i'm sorry for all who visited to see new articles. I had an important school exam today and my only time left to exercise was yesterday after the ESC final.

From tomorrow on I am going to be in Romania, for a whole week, so that I'm not going to be able to write any article in that time. Ole, our Norvegian autor in this blog will help out in this period of my absence again, thanks for that :D

After my comeback from Romania, which placed surprisingly high this year, we will have a look on our polls on the right, see what reactions Juliana after the final got and more.

I have been watching ESC in Düsseldorf, Germany in a movie theatre, Ole was live in Oslo.

Seems like next year it's me who will report live from the venue and Ole from home sweet home :).

Congrats to Germany and Lena

See you in a week,
Arben

***The AlbaVision Team & Contact***

In this article the AlbavVision team likes to present itself to the visitors:

Arben: "Hello, my name is Arben, I'm 19 years old, Albanian, born and living in Germany. I always loved music, languages and geography and the Eruovision Song Contest seemed to match perfectly with my interests. My first ESC was in 2004, exactly the year Albania had entered this event, so we somehow entered the Eurovision together :) . In November 2007 I decided to start a blog for Albania at the ESC on blog.de, a german blog page (my English wasn't that advanced back then). With time the page also got many clicks from outside Germany. One major reason for that was that my page delivered the lyrics (+ translation into German) of the Albanian winning songs of the National Final in 2007, 08 & 09 first right first after their triumph. Until April 2010 the page had a total of 30.000 visits in 2 ½  years, even though it was "only" a German blog. The huge interest in my articles, especially in the months December (NF) and May (ESC), made me go this one step further now and start Albavision.tk-international. With a growing team of interested writers this page's gonna rock :D!"

Ole: "Hi, I am Ole and I am a 21 year old Norwegian. Like Arben, I have a big interest in music and languages, and also in different cultures. I have followed the Eurovision Song Contest for almost as long as I can remember. My interest has been growing more and more each year. I have been following the Festivali i Këngës for only a relatively short time, but it didn't take long until I became a big fan of the Albanian national final. I became friends with Arben in December 2009, right before the FiK final. I started blogging for AlbaVision in April when the page started blogging in English, at that time I also got the chance to blog live from the ESC in Oslo. I look forward to keep contributing with news and live reports in the future."

Evelina: Hello I'm Evelina , a 17 year old albanian ,my biggest interest is music and always sought ways to get connected with other music fans .Let's say I'm a newbie in the eurovision arena as I've been watching eurovision only since 2009 , I wouldn't know anything about it if I didn't watch the daily news where they promoted the albanian entry in eurovision at that time ( Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams) and since then I've been trying to stay tuned with the latest information about eurovision , and of course I'm not gonna forget to share it with other fans .

Welcome to Albavision.tk

Hello Europe and the World!

This is Albavision.tk, the new (or better relaunched) website/blog about Albania (and Kosovo) at the Eurovision. Here you'll get the most recent news about everything that connects Albania with the Eurovision Songcontest: Translations of the national final songs, new videos of the albanian ESC stars, interviews of producers, songwriters and performers in the national final, exclusive articles and much, much more...

Until today (02.04.10) Albavision.tk was a german blog (-> Link), but now, after 2 and a half years, we are becoming international, because we want to reach even more people with exclusive details about everything that concerns the albanian entries at the ESC.

We are two editors (till now), Ole and Arben. We're both no native english-speaking, but we are going to give our very best to let the articles have an international standart in points of language. We are very thankful for every correction in the comments and we hope that we can form a lively community.

One thing has to be added: This is no Oikotimes in an albanian version, we do not tolerate discrimination of other cultures and countries and won't illustrate Albania as the ultimate country of Europe and the ESC. Articles may contain subjective thoughts, but they will never be written in a form, which appeals provocative or obstinate, this we promise. This is going to be a peaceful place where everyone has the right for his thoughts.

So if you ever have questions or thoughts you'd like to share about anything that has to do with Albania @ the ESC, remember this name and come back :)

We're looking forward to a great future of this blog and its community,
cheers, Arben!
